    Arrival in Kathmandu at Tribhuvan International Airport

    Namaste and welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport , you are greeted by our team and transferred to your hotel in Thamel, the vibrant heart of Kathmandu. The lively streets filled with trekking shops, colorful prayer flags, ancient temples, and the distant silhouette of snow-capped peaks prepare you for the adventure ahead. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner featuring authentic Nepali cuisine, followed by a briefing about your Khopra Danda trek.

    Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara

    After breakfast, board a comfortable tourist bus for the scenic drive to Pokhara. The journey follows the Prithvi Highway along the Trisuli River, passing through terraced hillsides, traditional villages, and lush river valleys. The drive offers glimpses of the Himalayan peaks in the distance, building anticipation for the trek ahead. Upon arrival in Pokhara , Nepal's adventure capital, transfer to your lakeside hotel. The afternoon is free to explore the charming Lakeside area , take a boat ride on Phewa Lake, or simply relax with views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) reflected in the water.

    Drive to Kimche and Trek to Tadapani

    An early morning drive takes you from Pokhara along winding mountain roads to Kimche (1,640 m) , where the trek begins. The trail climbs steadily through terraced fields and small villages before entering the magnificent rhododendron and oak forests that characterize this region. You pass through the Gurung village of Ghandruk , one of the largest and most picturesque villages in the Annapurna region, with traditional stone houses and stunning mountain views. The trail continues climbing through increasingly beautiful forest to reach Tadapani (2,630 m) , a scenic village on a ridge with spectacular views of Machhapuchhre and the Annapurna range.

    Trek from Tadapani to Dobato

    Today's trek takes you deeper into the wild and beautiful terrain toward Khopra Danda. The trail climbs through dense rhododendron forests that burst with color during spring months. The path is less traveled than the main Annapurna routes, offering a sense of wilderness and solitude. As you gain altitude, views of the The Annapurna massif, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre become increasingly dramatic. The forest transitions to alpine meadows as you approach Dobato (3,420 m) , a small settlement with basic accommodation and spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. The sense of remoteness and natural beauty is profound.

    Hike to Mulde Viewpoint and Trek to Chistibang

    An early morning hike takes you to the spectacular Mulde Viewpoint (3,637 m) for one of the finest sunrise panoramas in the Annapurna region. From this stunning vantage point, watch the sun illuminate the peaks of Dhaulagiri I (8,167 m), Tukuche, Nilgiri, Annapurna I (8,091 m), Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre , and many more. The 360-degree views are simply breathtaking. After absorbing the panorama and enjoying breakfast, you descend and then traverse to Chistibang (3,026 m) , following a ridge trail with continuous mountain views. The path passes through open meadows and patches of forest, with the Himalayan giants as constant companions.

    Trek from Chistibang to Khopra Danda

    Continue along the high ridges toward your destination at Khopra Danda. The trail offers continuous panoramic views as you traverse open meadows and patches of rhododendron and juniper. You may encounter yaks grazing in the high pastures and witness local herders maintaining traditional ways. The path climbs gradually, with the peaks of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli seemingly within touching distance. By afternoon, you arrive at Khopra Danda (3,640 m) , home to a community-run lodge with perhaps the finest mountain views in the region. Watch the sunset paint the peaks in shades of gold and pink from this extraordinary vantage point.

    Excursion to Khopra Lake / Khayer Lake - round trip

    The highlight of the trek! An early start takes you up the steep trail toward the sacred Khopra Lake (4,660 m) , also known as Khayer Lake. The path climbs through alpine meadows, rocky terrain, and possible snow patches, with the altitude making every step demanding. As you approach the glacial cirque, the dramatic amphitheater of peaks surrounding the lake comes into view. The turquoise waters of Khopra Lake lie in a stunning setting beneath the towering walls of Annapurna South and its neighbors. This sacred lake is a pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists, and the spiritual atmosphere is profound. Spend time absorbing the beauty before descending back to Khopra Danda.

    Trek from Khopra Danda to Tatopani

    A long but rewarding descent takes you from the high ridges down to the famous hot springs village of Tatopani. The trail drops dramatically, passing through changing vegetation zones, from alpine meadows through rhododendron forests to subtropical terraces. You pass through small villages where friendly locals offer tea and refreshments. The Kali Gandaki valley opens up below, with views of Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri above. By late afternoon, you arrive at Tatopani (1,190 m) , meaning 'hot water' in Nepali. Soak your tired muscles in the natural hot springs beside the Kali Gandaki River, a perfect reward for your trekking efforts. The therapeutic waters are said to have healing properties.

    Drive from Tatopani to Pokhara

    After a leisurely morning and perhaps another soak in the hot springs, board a private vehicle for the scenic drive back to Pokhara. The road follows the Kali Gandaki valley , passing through traditional villages, terraced fields, and alongside the rushing river. Views of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, and the Annapurnas accompany you along the way. Upon arrival in Pokhara , transfer to your lakeside hotel. The afternoon and evening are free to explore the vibrant Lakeside area, shop for souvenirs, take a boat ride on Phewa Lake, or simply relax and reflect on your trek.
