Stories from the trail
“From the first email to the final goodbye at Kathmandu airport, everything was flawlessly organised. Our guide knew every trail, every story, and every shortcut. The tea houses were well chosen, the acclimatisation days were wisely planned, and the mountain views were beyond words.”

Everest Base Camp Trek · Australia
“Incredible trip to EBC, and Real Himalaya were outstanding. The journey was the experience of a lifetime, and the team made it particularly special. Always smiling, always having fun, and always looking out for people in the group. When the weather turned on the way back down they really came into their own, adjusting accommodation and plans without fuss.”

“Slowly slowly or hurry hurry - either way Real Himalaya fits the bill. The team provide just the right amount of motivation, fun and humour on the trail, and impart their knowledge of the mountains and Sherpa history along the way. Already planning my next trip with them.”

Questions
Before you book
EBC is achievable for most people of good general health with a reasonable base fitness. You should be comfortable walking 5-7 hours a day on mountain trails. We recommend a training program of regular hill walking and cardio for 8-12 weeks before departure.
The two main seasons are Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November). Both offer stable weather and clear mountain views. Autumn is the most popular; spring brings warmer days and rhododendron blooms at lower altitudes.
Everest region treks require the Khumbu Rural Municipality permit and Sagarmatha National Park entry. Annapurna treks require the ACAP and TIMS cards. We arrange all permits as part of every package - nothing for you to organise.
We require all clients to hold comprehensive travel insurance covering trekking to the maximum altitude of their itinerary and helicopter evacuation. We are happy to advise on suitable policies before you book.
In Kathmandu you stay in quality hotels; on trek, comfortable guest houses and tea houses with private or twin rooms where available. Our climbing and expedition packages include tented camps with full support crew.
Our groups run from 2 to a maximum of 16 trekkers, guided by experienced English-speaking Sherpa guides, with assistant guides added for larger groups. Private departures for families and friends are available on every itinerary.
Send us an enquiry through the contact form, by email, or on WhatsApp. We confirm availability and hold your place with a 20% deposit; the balance is due on arrival in Kathmandu. Bank transfer and card payments are accepted.
