    Kathmandu Sightseeing & Climb Preparation

Today blends cultural discovery with expedition readiness. Visit Swayambhunath Stupa, where monkeys leap around the golden dome, Boudhanath Stupa, with its serene circle of devotion, and Pashupatinath Temple, where sacred rituals unfold along the Bagmati River. In the afternoon, your climbing gears like harness, crampons, boots are inspected and finalized. The evening is free to shop for souvenirs or enjoy Thamel’s vibrant cafés.

  3. 3

Drive to Besisahar from Kathmandu and Trek to Bhulbhule

Leave Kathmandu behind and journey west, following the Trisuli and Marshyangdi rivers. The drive winds through terraced fields and hillsides dotted with small villages. By afternoon, you reach Besisahar, the starting point of the Annapurna Circuit. A short trek along the river brings you to Bhulbhule, where your first night in the countryside is spent under the stars.

  4. 4

    From Bhulbhule, Ascending to Dharapani

Follow the Marshyangdi River upstream, crossing suspension bridges and walking past cascading waterfalls. Villages greet you with stone houses and friendly smiles. The trail climbs steadily through forests of pine and fir. By evening, you reach Dharapani, a village influenced by Tibetan culture, where prayer flags flutter above rooftops.

  5. 5

    Trekking to Chame from Dharapani

The path winds through rhododendron and pine forests, with glimpses of Lamjung Himal and Annapurna II. Apple orchards line the trail, and the cool mountain air grows fresher. Arriving in Chame, the district headquarters of Manang, you enjoy the comfort of teahouses and hot springs nearby. The village buzzes with traders, climbers, and locals alike.

  6. 6

    Heading towards Upper Pisang

Today’s trail is dramatic, passing the Paungda Danda Rock Face, a colossal curved slab towering above the valley. Crossing bridges and ridges, you gain altitude gradually. By afternoon, you arrive in Upper Pisang, a charming village of stone houses, prayer walls, and a monastery. Here, the mighty Pisang Peak rises above, calling you closer.

  7. 7

    Acclimatization in Upper Pisang

This is a day to rest and adapt to the thinning air. Short hikes around Upper Pisang reveal incredible views of Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, and Pisang Peak itself. Villagers welcome you into their homes, offering insight into local Tibetan-influenced culture. The pace is slow, but each step helps prepare your body for higher altitudes.

  8. 8

Trekking to Pisang Peak Base Camp

Leave the village behind and trek through alpine pastures and yak grazing lands. The path climbs steadily as forests fade into barren landscapes of rock and snow. By midday, you reach Pisang Peak Base Camp, a meadow surrounded by towering ridges. Tents are pitched, and the team prepares hot meals. The mountain feels closer than ever.

  9. 9

    Climbing Training at Base Camp

Under Sherpa guidance, today is dedicated to practicing mountaineering skills. You learn how to use crampons, ice axe, harnesses, and ropes on snowy slopes. This builds both confidence and safety for summit day. The afternoon is for rest, hydration, and enjoying the starry sky above the base camp.

  10. 10

Climbing from Base Camp to High Camp

Climb steeply along rocky ridges and snowy terrain to establish High Camp. The thin air makes progress slower, but the panoramic views of Annapurna II, Gangapurna, and Tilicho Peak are awe-inspiring. Tents are pitched on snow or rock platforms. After an early dinner, climbers retreat to rest, conserving energy for the summit push.

  11. 11

Summit Pisang Peak and Return to Base Camp

Summit day begins in the stillness of the night, with headlamps piercing the dark. The climb follows icy ridges, fixed ropes, and steep snow slopes up to 60°. With focus and determination, you reach the summit of Pisang Peak (6,091 m) at sunrise. The panorama is breathtaking: Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, Tilicho, Gangapurna, and the Chulu range surround you. After brief celebrations, descend carefully to Base Camp for rest.

  12. 12

    Contingency Day

Reserved for weather delays or extra acclimatization. If unused, it provides time for a relaxed descent.

  13. 13

From Base Camp, Trek to Manang via Upper Pisang

Descend back to Upper Pisang, then follow the trail along the valley to Manang. This beautiful village is set against glaciers and cliffs. Ancient monasteries, traditional houses, and a backdrop of Annapurna III and Gangapurna make Manang a cultural highlight of the circuit.

  14. 14

Ascending to Yak Kharka from Manang

The trail climbs past juniper trees and yak pastures, with views of snow peaks on both sides. Along the way, you pass herders’ huts and small tea shops. After 4–5 hours, you reach Yak Kharka, a quiet settlement with dramatic Himalayan views.

  15. 15

    Moving towards Thorong Phedi

The path ascends gently to Thorong Phedi, the base camp for Thorong La Pass. The air is thin, and the terrain rocky, but the anticipation of crossing the high pass tomorrow keeps you energized. Rest well in preparation for an early start.

  16. 16

Cross Thorong La Pass and Trek to Muktinath

Wake before dawn to tackle the legendary Thorong La Pass (5,416 m). The climb is steep and demanding, but the view at the top, endless peaks and fluttering prayer flags is unforgettable. After celebrating, descend long trails into Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site with eternal flames and holy springs.

  17. 17

Trek to Jomsom via Kali Gandaki Valley

Descend into the Kali Gandaki Valley, famous for its windswept cliffs and being the world’s deepest gorge. The trail passes through Tibetan-influenced villages and apple orchards. By evening, you reach Jomsom, the district hub of Mustang, where the journey feels warmer and gentler.

  18. 18

    Flight from Jomsom to Pokhara

A short scenic flight carries you from Jomsom to Pokhara, where lakes, forests, and green hills replace the barren landscapes of Mustang. The afternoon is free to explore, enjoy a boat ride on Phewa Lake, visit Davis Falls, or climb to the World Peace Stupa. In the evening, stroll through Lakeside, alive with music, lights, and restaurants.

  19. 19

    Flight to Capital

After breakfast, return to Kathmandu either by a scenic drive through valleys or a short flight over the Himalayas. Back in Thamel, the afternoon is yours for last-minute shopping, pashminas, singing bowls, or trekking gear. In the evening, gather for a farewell dinner, sharing stories of your climb and celebrating your Pisang Peak success.

  20. 20

    Final Departure from Kathmandu
