Detailed itinerary

  1. 1

Arrival in Kathmandu – Gateway to the Himalayas

Namaste and welcome to Nepal! As your plane descends into the Kathmandu Valley, the rooftops of temples glisten in the sunlight and prayer flags ripple across the skyline. The city greets you with a blend of history, chaos, and devotion. You are transferred to your hotel, where you rest after your long journey. Tonight, the city hums outside your window, while you dream of the mountains that await.

  2. 2

Flight to Lukla, Trek Through the Valleys to Phakding

At dawn, a thrilling flight carries you to Lukla, the mountain gateway perched on a hillside. Stepping into the thin, crisp air, your trek begins. The trail meanders past stone walls and pine forests, crossing suspension bridges that sway above the Dudh Koshi River. After three to four hours, you arrive in Phakding, where the river’s song lulls you to rest.

  3. 3

Journey towards Mountain : Phakding to Namche Bazzer

The path climbs steadily, the air cooler with every step. You cross the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge, festooned with prayer flags that flutter against the rushing waters below. The final climb is steep, but your reward is Namche Bazaar, a vibrant amphitheater of houses and markets nestled in the hillside.

  4. 4

    Acclimatization in Namche

Today, you rest and rise slowly with the altitude. A short hike leads to the Everest View Hotel (3,880 m), where Everest, Ama Dablam, and Lhotse stand proud in the distance. You may wander to Khumjung village, home to Hillary’s school and a monastery said to guard a relic of the yeti. Back in Namche, the smell of fresh bread from mountain bakeries warms the evening.

  5. 5

Chasing the peak : Namche to Debuche

From Namche, you follow ridges where Everest and Ama Dablam grace the skyline. Descending to the river and climbing again, you reach Tengboche Monastery, the spiritual heart of the Khumbu. Monks chant as the sun sets behind snow peaks, and the air feels sacred. A short descent leads you to Debuche, a quieter village among whispering forests.

  6. 6

Going uphills to Dingboche from Debuche

The trail crosses rhododendron forests, passes the village of Pangboche, and climbs gradually into open valleys. Soon, you arrive at Dingboche, a high-altitude village surrounded by protective stone walls. Yaks graze in the fields, and the vast Imja Valley stretches beyond.

  7. 7

    Acclimatization in Dingboche

Another rest day at altitude. A hike to Nangkartsang Peak (5,083 m) gifts you sweeping views of Makalu, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam. Returning to Dingboche, you prepare for greater heights, your lungs stronger, your spirit steadier.

  8. 8

    Ascending towards Chhukung from Dingboche

A short trek takes you to Chhukung, the last settlement before Kongma La. Towering peaks rise on all sides, glaciers gleam in the sunlight, and the air carries a silence only the high Himalayas know.

  9. 9

Crossing Kongma La: From Chhukung to Lobuche

The journey over Kongma La is long and testing. You climb rocky ridges and icy paths until the world spreads out below you, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu shining in majesty. The descent is steep, but by evening you reach Lobuche, weary yet exhilarated.

  10. 10

Summit Sights: Trek to Everest Base Camp and Gorak Shep

A day of legend. You trek to Gorak Shep, then onward to Everest Base Camp itself. Tents dot the glacier, climbers prepare for their ascent, and the Khumbu Icefall looms like frozen thunder. Standing here, you feel the pulse of ambition and history. You return to Gorak Shep for the night.

  11. 11

Ascend Kala Patthar: From Gorak Shep to Dzongla

Before dawn, you climb Kala Patthar. As the first light touches Everest, it glows gold against the morning sky, a sight you will never forget. Descending, you walk past Lobuche and on to Dzongla, a quiet settlement beneath steep ridges.

  12. 12

Crossing Cho La: From Dzongla to Gokyo

The crossing of Cho La is another great challenge. Snow, ice, and rock lead you to the top, where dazzling views surround you. Carefully descending, you enter the Gokyo Valley. By evening, the turquoise Gokyo Lakes greet you with shimmering calm.

  13. 13

Descend from Gokyo Ri: Back to Gokyo

Before sunrise, you climb Gokyo Ri, one of the finest viewpoints in the Himalayas. Four 8,000-meter peaks, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu, stand before you. Below, the immense Ngozumpa Glacier winds across the valley like a frozen river of time. You return to Gokyo, resting beside the sacred lakes.

  14. 14

Over Renjo La Pass: Journey to Lunden

The final pass, Renjo La, rises steep and steady. From the crest, Everest and the Gokyo Lakes unfold in one sweeping panorama. The descent leads to Lunden, a peaceful settlement where fewer trekkers pass.

  15. 15

Journey Down to Thame: Embracing the Valley

A gentle walk takes you to Thame, a traditional Sherpa village steeped in history. Its monastery and prayer walls speak of devotion, while the stories of legendary mountaineers echo in its stone homes.

  16. 16

Descending to Namche: From Thame’s Heights

You return to Namche Bazaar, now familiar, alive with color and comfort after the solitude of the high passes.

  17. 17

    Final Descent: Namche to Lukla

The final day of trekking carries you through forests, across bridges, and past villages, until you return to Lukla. The circle is complete, and the evening is filled with laughter and reflection.

  18. 18

Scenic Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu

A short flight returns you to Kathmandu, where the chaos of the city contrasts with the stillness of the peaks. The afternoon is yours to rest, to wander markets, or to share a farewell meal.

  19. 19

    Farewell Kathmandu: Journey Home
