Arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport
Namaste and welcome to Nepal! At Tribhuvan International Airport , you are warmly received and transferred to your hotel in Thamel. The narrow alleys filled with prayer flags, Himalayan gear shops, and buzzing cafés prepare you for your adventure. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Nepali welcome dinner with cultural dance, while meeting your trekking team.

Kathmandu Sightseeing & Trek Preparation
Today you explore the spiritual and cultural heart of Kathmandu Valley . Visits include Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) , Pashupatinath Temple , and the massive Boudhanath Stupa . These UNESCO sites offer blessings for your trek. In the afternoon, your guide checks trekking gear, finalizes permits, and briefs you about the upcoming Gosaikunda trek .

Scenic Drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche
After breakfast, a scenic drive takes you through winding mountain roads, past terraced hills, rivers, and traditional villages. By afternoon, you arrive at Dhunche , the administrative center of Rasuwa district and the gateway to the Langtang and Gosaikunda regions.

Trek to Thulo Syabru from Dhunche
Your trekking adventure begins! The trail climbs gradually through pine and oak forests alive with birdsong. Passing Tamang villages with prayer wheels and stone houses, you ascend toward Thulo Syabru , a beautiful settlement perched on terraced hillsides with views of Ganesh Himal .

Ascend to Chandanbari (Sing Gompa, 3,330 m)
Today the trail leads through rhododendron forests, which glow red and pink in spring. You may encounter langur monkeys and Himalayan birds along the way. By afternoon, you arrive at Chandanbari (Sing Gompa) , home to a famous monastery and a yak cheese factory. Views of Langtang Himal accompany you at sunset.

From Chandanbari, Trek to Lauribina
Climbing steadily, you leave behind thick forests and enter the alpine zone. The scenery opens wide sweeping ridges and snow-capped peaks dominate the horizon. At Lauribina , the Himalayas seem closer than ever, with Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and even Manaslu visible in clear weather.

Ascend to Gosaikunda Lake
This is the most awaited day of the trek. The trail ascends steeply across rocky ridges and alpine meadows until you reach the sacred Gosaikunda Lake , a turquoise jewel reflecting the surrounding mountains. According to Hindu mythology, the lake was created by Lord Shiva. Pilgrims flock here during the Janai Purnima festival , making this a holy and spiritual destination. Overnight in a lodge beside the lake.

Explore Gosaikunda & Cross Lauribina Pass (4,610 m) after that trek to Ghopte (3,430 m)
At sunrise, the lake glows golden, a magical sight. You then climb to the highest point of the trek, Lauribina Pass (4,610 m) decorated with fluttering prayer flags and offering expansive Himalayan panoramas. From the pass, the trail descends steeply through rocky slopes and rhododendron forests until reaching Ghopte , a quiet resting place in the middle hills.

Descend from Ghopte to Kutumsang
The trail descends through meadows, ridges, and scattered Tamang villages. Prayer walls and farmlands add charm to the day’s journey. By evening, you arrive at Kutumsang , a traditional Tamang village offering cultural warmth and views of rolling green hills.

Descend towards Chisapani
Today’s path takes you across terraced fields, forested ridges, and small settlements. Approaching Chisapani , the mountains unfold dramatically: from Langtang to Gaurishankar and even Everest on a clear day. It’s a perfect final overnight stop before Kathmandu.

Trekking down to Sundarijal (1,350 m) and Drive to Kathmandu
A final morning trek leads you into Shivapuri National Park , where oak and rhododendron forests shelter wildlife. The descent is gentle, with the sound of rivers guiding your steps. After reaching Sundarijal , a short drive brings you back to Kathmandu , where hot showers, comforts, and a farewell dinner await.

Final Departure from Kathmandu
Your Himalayan journey ends today. After breakfast, you are transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight home. As your plane soars above the peaks, you carry the blessings of Gosaikunda’s sacred lakes and the memories of a trek filled with culture, nature, and spiritual beauty.
