    Arrival in Kathmandu at Tribhuvan International Airport

    Namaste and welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport , you are greeted by our team and transferred to your hotel in Thamel. The lively streets, colorful prayer flags, and mountain energy prepare you for your Langtang adventure. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner with a cultural show and a short briefing about the trek.

    Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi

    After breakfast, you embark on a long but scenic drive north toward the Langtang region. The road winds past terraced hillsides, roaring rivers, and small roadside villages. By evening, you arrive in Syabrubesi , the gateway to the Langtang Valley trek, surrounded by forests and mountain ridges.

    Trek to Lama Hotel

    The trek begins along the Langtang Khola River , crossing suspension bridges and climbing gradually through oak and rhododendron forests. Keep your eyes open for monkeys, Himalayan birds, and even red pandas. After a steady uphill trek, you arrive at Lama Hotel , a small settlement of lodges nestled in the woods.

    From Lama Hotel, Ascend to Langtang Village

    Today the trail climbs higher, revealing glimpses of Langtang Lirung (7,227 m) through the trees. You pass through lush forests, yak pastures, and scattered Tamang villages. After a steady climb, you reach Langtang Village , rebuilt after the 2015 earthquake, where prayer wheels and mani walls line the paths.

    Hike to Kyanjin Gompa from Langtang Village

    A short but spectacular day’s walk takes you deeper into the valley. The trail opens into alpine meadows, surrounded by towering snowy peaks. You pass chortens, prayer flags, and herds of yaks grazing freely. By midday, you arrive at Kyanjin Gompa , a Buddhist monastery and cultural center, with stunning views of Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, and Gangchempo.

    Acclimatization & Exploration in Kyanjin Gompa

    This is a rest and acclimatization day in the heart of the Langtang Valley. Options include hiking up to Kyanjin Ri (4,773 m) or Tserko Ri (4,984 m) for panoramic views of the Langtang range, glaciers, and the Tibetan borderlands. You may also visit the local yak cheese factory and explore the monastery.

    Trek Back to Lama Hotel

    After soaking in the majesty of the valley, you retrace your steps back down. The trail descends past yak pastures, alpine meadows, and into the forests of rhododendron and oak. By evening, you return to the comfort of Lama Hotel , enjoying the warmth of the lodge.

    Return Back to Syabrubesi

    Today’s walk takes you through familiar trails, descending gradually alongside the Langtang Khola. The greenery returns, and the valley grows wider as you approach Syabrubesi , the starting point of your trek.

    Drive Back to Kathmandu from Syabrubesi

    After breakfast, you take the scenic drive back to Kathmandu , following the same winding highways through terraced hills and riversides. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for rest. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner celebrating your trek.

    Final Departure from Kathmandu

    After breakfast, you are transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey.
